The Wiślica commune is located in the Southern part of the Świętokrzyskie province, along Nida River, near its confluence with the Vistula and in the central and Southern part of the Ponidzie Landscape Park Complex. It belongs to a group of the oldest towns in Poland which origins date back to the times before the establishment of the Polish state.
